OUR APPROACH
From the ground.
To the policy table.
Saaf Sutra's strategy connects five deliberate moves from the ground to the policy table.
01
Programmatic Scale-Up
We bundle sanitation infrastructure with community awareness, local ownership, and sustainable Operations & Maintenance (O&M) models so that what we build keeps working long after we hand it over.
02
Evidence That Travels
Every intervention is documented as a case study; data, cost, outcomes, lessons learned. This evidence base is what makes Saaf Sutra's models credible to donors, government departments, and institutional partners.
03
Pilot → Program → Policy
We don't stop at successful pilots. Proven models are scaled into programs, and program-level evidence is used to actively influence WASH policy strengthening and implementation at the state and national level.
04
Diversifying Into Larger Mandates
Beyond direct implementation, Saaf Sutra is expanding into large-scale WASH infrastructure projects, training delivery, and applied research funded through institutional and external partnerships that match the scale of India's WASH challenge. We are actively building next-generation initiatives Wealth-from-Waste models, WASH-industry linkages, and innovation partnerships anchored to funders who want to back what comes next in the sector, not just what already exists.
05
Innovation & Technology for WASH
We adopt technology that can aid and accelerate WASH initiatives, designing and implementing pilots and scaling the successful ones.

PILOT → PROGRAM → POLICY
Evidence that travels.
Infrastructure and behaviour change belong together. We document costs, outcomes and lessons so proven models can inform funding, implementation and policy.
